Workshop on Parallel Computing in Astrophysics

The Workshop on Parallel Computing in Astrophysics, presented by the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics and the University of Toronto Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is a week-long workshop to be held on University of Toronto campus July 21-25, 2008.

The purpose of the meeting is to train young researchers in astronomy and astrophysics how to use parallel computing tools in their research.

The curriculum has been developed to ensure that graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who already have some background in scientific computation will leave being able to immediately begin using these resources.

July 20, 2008: The registration for the workshop will be held at the Bahen Centre for Information Technology, 40 St. George Street, in Room 1170. Registration begins at 8:30 AM, and the first session begins at 9 AM. A map to the Bahen Centre is available here. An updated schedule will be distributed at registration.

May 28, 2008: Registration has now officially opened for the workshop!. Accommodation information has also been posted!
